Hours in Accounting: 36 semester hours. *Also required for licensure: 30 semester hours in economics & business administration, 60 semester hours in general education and 24 semester hours in any credit subject.
Exam sitting requirements: B.A. (120 hours) with 46 semester hours in accounting and related subjects, including, but not limited to business law, economics, and finance; at least 24 of those semester hours must be in accounting specifically.
Experience Requirements: 2 years in public practice, government or industry providing services or advice involving the use of accounting, attest, management advisory, tax or consulting skills all of which was supervised by a licensed certified public accountant or public accountant unless otherwise specified.
Ethics Exam: Must pass AICPA Ethics exam for initial licensure.
